Premier Subaru "Shares the Love" with Camp Rising Sun
For the seventh consecutive year, Subaru has announced its annual "Share the Love" campaign, in which they donate $250 to charity for each Subaru sold between November 20, 2014 and January 2, 2015. It has been announced that Camp Rising Sun has been named as the official local charity for this year's "Share the Love" event. The Camp Rising Sun Charitable Foundation, Inc. provides a safe nurturing environment to kids who have faced the diagnosis of cancer, so that they may grow and learn from their experiences to become the best they can be. The camp is staffed by volunteer counselors who give a week of their time, love and energy. Some camp counselors are former patients/campers who have beaten the odds and are now devoted their time to help the next generation of campers. Â

Premier Subaru has agreed to be a collection point to receive coats and other items for Veterans at the VA Hospital. The VA Hospital is located at 950 Campbell Ave., West Haven, CT, and have different programs available for in-patient and out-patient treatments. The VA Connecticut Healthcare System is looking for among other items, clothing, gift cards and comfort items (such as toiletries) to provide to veterans who receive care at the hospital to improve their comfort and quality of life.
Through their previous support of other charity organizations, including Toys for Tots, the Community Dining Room, and Camp Rising Sun, Premier Subaru has always put an emphasis on being involved in the community, and in this latest campaign to support VA hospital, Premier is once again taking an active role this holiday season. Barbara Mullen, Premier Subaru Client Ambassador, has been the coordinator for this effort. Â "We believe in sharing the love, and this year we are focusing on collecting for the veterans who have put their lives on the line for us, without asking anything in return," Barbara said. Â

KIA Supports Public Schools Nationwide
In Support of Giving Tuesday, KIA Motors America announced on Tuesday their alliance with DonorsChoose.org to launch an annual "civilian philanthropist" empowerment campaign to raise more than $1 million to support high-need public schools across the country before the end of the year. Previous campaigns has raised more than $5 million and benefited more than one million public school students nationwide, so KIA Motors is one again making a matching contribution to eligible DonorsChoose.org projects.

Adorable Adoptable Animals
This is Casey. Casey is a six month old lab/hound mix, as best as we can tell, available through New Beginnings Animal Rescue in Branford, CT. Casey is completely vetted and is microchipped. She is learning her house manners and is doing very well. Casey loves other dogs and people. She is interested in playing with the cats in her foster home, but has not bothered them much. Casey would make an excellent jogging partner or in an active family. Since she is still very much a puppy, she does have lots of energy, but still loves to lay around and be with her people. We can't say enough about this sweet girl - she would love a family of her own!
